Mainstream band: 30 seconds to mars



30 Seconds to Mars are a mainstream rock band from America. They formed their band in 1998 when the online age was starting to become a big contributor to the music industry. The band lead vocalist is Jared Leto; a Hollywood actor who's fame promoted the band highly. Their original music label was virgin media but after their law suite in 2008 onwards they moved to one of the 'Big Four' labels EMI music publishing. The band has had a number of awards such as in November 2007, the band won the MTV Europe Music Award for "Rock Out". 30 Seconds to Mars are also highly involved with environmental and poverty groups such as Oxfam.
